Carsten Höller, "Flying Machine," 1996
I first flew in this sculpture in 1996, when Carsten included it in "Glück," his first major museum exhibition, which I experienced at Centraal Museum in Utrecht, Netherlands. At the show's opening, only about 7 people flew. In Cincinnati, there was a line at the opening and 100s flew over the course of the exhibition.
