Cecylia Malik, performance props, photos and newspaper articles
2009-2107
From 2009-2010, Malik posted a different
photo on Facebook, of her climbing a different
tree daily in her native Kraków, attracting the
attention of Polish environmental activists.
This led to her working with the public to
produce alluring props to protest the
destruction of butterfly habitat, channelization
of Polish waterways, harvesting of Poland's
old-growth forests and a 2017 Polish law
permitting the permit-free cutting of trees
on private property.
